September 13, 2025 – November 30, 2025

Kaika-YOKAI Festival 2025 (Toei Uzumasa Eigamura)

Step into a world where ghosts and monsters roam free — “Kaika-YOKAI Festival 2025” transforms Toei Uzumasa Eigamura into a haunted playground full of art, folklore and fun from mid-September through November.

From September 13 through November 30, 2025, Toei Uzumasa Eigamura presents Kaika-YOKAI Festival 2025, a hauntingly beautiful blend of traditional Japanese yokai culture, immersive art, performances, and pop culture flair. Highlights include the upgraded night parade “Uzumasa Hyakki Yagyō,” interactive yokai greetings, a yokai rally, exhibitions, food & goods stalls, photo spots, a photo contest “Hyakki Yawa King,” and more.

Special event days will offer extended hours and additional content. For full lovers of haunted tales, there are bus tours through hidden “yokai spots” around Kyoto, where myth and local legend meet the night.

All ages welcome — whether you want chilling stories, wonderful art, or just a fun night walking among spirits, this festival has something for everyone.
